The Weekly Planning Routine That Puts You in Control

It’s a fact. A weekly planning routine puts you in control. Scheduling is very important to have a productive week in your life. I started to schedule my day in the final year of my graduation. During my school days, one of my teachers asked me to write down a timetable of what you do each day, and once he asked me to write down my goal on a paper and stick it to my wall. Over time, I developed a habit, and you can do it too! Here are the top tips for planning your week without getting overwhelmed.

Remove Sources Of Distraction

You need to want to accomplish what you are after! This means you need to sacrifice anything and everything that gets in your way—no more unproductive relaxing time, no more TV, no more Facebook at odd times. Instead, set alarms for specific times when you get to take a well-earned break.

Organization

Start by making a list of important daily activities, organize them from most difficult to least difficult. Then, figure out how many hours a day, you need to accomplish each daily activity. Place this list somewhere you will see it every morning. I recommend also keeping a pen nearby to track your progress. Need some help in organizing? Try this Cute And Handy Weekly Planner. Working Out

It should be the first thing you tackle every day! This gives you a sense of accomplishment, and frankly gets it over and done with. After a few weeks, you will find you have more energy, confidence, and consequently produce better quality work.

Start by tackling the hardest activities first “advanced math”. Finish this activity and move down the list. It’s much easier to keep the momentum going if the tasks are getting easier throughout the day.

Use Leftover Time Wisely

Leftover time, while you are trying to accomplish your goal, should not be wasted on mindless relaxing. You need to keep your determined mindset “for 106 days.” Fill your spare time with quality content like books, podcasts, etc. It can be anything that helps you stay focused on the allotted amount of time.

Divide Your Day

I simply divide my day into three shifts i.e. morning, afternoon, and evening. We have an internal clock in our body which can set as per our routine. So, just divide your work with respect to your internal clock and go for it. The important thing is along with the work you must have short breaks in between so that you can perform with 100% efficiency every time. I usually use my sense of humor with my fellow colleagues to keep the environment energetic.

Use Sticky Notes: Weekly Planning Routine Puts You in Control

Sticky notes are quite a familiar way of scheduling. I generally use them as reminders. I stick them with the description of coming events meetings, etc. with dates in the side of the mirror.

All these are giving me great results for the past few years. They are not mere suggestions. I recommend you to follow them too and make your life a planned success!
