The NLP practitioner would have to help his or her colleague to look at their relationship from a perspective of how it is affecting their feelings. Hence, they might do this by assigning an agent or proxy (the client) to help his colleague look at a situation objectively.
Most NLP practitioners also take the time to have a mentor-apprentice relationship with their clients. This allows them to learn more about each other and how their differences can be a source of growth. The techniques and theories developed by a person’s mentor are usually brought to the person’s attention through mentoring.
A common question that many NLP practitioners get is if mentoring actually helps them. The answer is yes and no. If the person was a good mentor before, they are more likely to become a good mentor after they have trained in NLP coaching.
What Does NLP Coaching Goes Through?
In a nutshell, it all depends on the individual relationship between the person he or she has mentored. If the mentor and the client are close, then mentoring could help improve their ability to relate to each other in a constructive way.
When someone trains in NLP coaching, he or she generally goes through several levels of training. Learning how to get deeper into the mind of the client and how to deal with his or her problems. Hence, some methods include playing with and influencing the client’s responses to various situations.
These methods help a client to get into the head of their past, past events, and feelings. Work out if he or she can get past it or not. Some may refer to this as “getting your feet wet.” Another method is the objective approach.
